Congressman Adam Smith will host a  Town Hall  Tuesday, August 25 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Lakewood City Hall Chambers, 6000 Main Street SW, Lakewood, Wash .

The purpose of the town hall meeting is to meet with constituents to listen to concerns, answer questions, and discuss issues facing Congress. Now is your chance to let Rep. Smith know your thoughts about health care reform and physical therapy!

Online townhall meeting on health care reform July 6

Washington State Senator Karen Keiser (D-Kent), chair of the state Health and Long-Term Care Committee will host an online town hall meeting Monday July 6 starting at 11 a.m. to discuss the impact federal health care reform efforts may have on Washington. The discussion will include such topics as whether a public option to compete with private health plans should be offered, how the state could achieve significant cost savings and how current and past state reform efforts would be impacted by federal legislation, according to Keiser’s website. Deadline for APTA Board Certified Clinical Specialist Applications Coming Up

APTA Board Certified Clinical Specialist certifications are available in geriatrics, neurology, orthopaedics, pediatrics, sports, women’s health, cardiovascular and pulmonary and clinical electrophysiology

Today is the deadline to apply for the APTA specialist certification in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary and Clinical Electrophysiology.

July 31 is the deadline for all other APTA specialist certifications. Tests will be administered between February 27 and March 13, 2010.  Click here for find out more.
